Helicopters

In early 1480's, Leonardo Vinci designed and created a machine that could be defined as "aerial screw", that was the suggestion by his notes that he had build a small flying models machine no indication for the provision to stop rotor from making whole the craft rotate. As the scientific knowledge increased then it became much more accepted and men continued to make pursuer for the idea of vertical flight, then many of machines and models would more resemble and ancient bamboo by flying on top and with spinning wings, rather than Vinci's screw.

A helicopter is basically an aircraft propelled and lifted more horizontal rotors. Each of rotor is consist two or more than two blades. Helicopters classified as rotorcraft "rotor-wings" aircraft to distinguish them from the fixed wing aircrafts because it achieves the lift with its rotor blade which rotate around its mast.

In primary advantages of helicopter is from the rotor which provides the lift for moving forward without needing of aircraft that allowing it to take off and to land vertically without any runway like other airplanes. Because of this reason helicopters are used easily in the congested and isolated areas where other fixed wings aircrafts can not land or take off. Lift from rotor allows the helicopter to hover in area with more efficiency then other form of the vertical landing and take off aircraft, allowing it and accomplish tasks of fixed wing aircraft can not perform.

Although that helicopters were designed and developed during the first half of century of flight, but some even reached at limited production, it wasn't until the 1942 that helicopter designed by Igor Sikorsky that reached full scale of production. Even though rotor configuration of antitorque tail for this design would come to be recognized as the helicopter worldwide. Where fixed wing aircraft receive the attention by historians, helicopter flight was first one that envisioned by the man.
